TDA2EVM5777: Vision SDK change memory map file to increase the size of DSP1_L2_SRAM_SIZE

Hi,

I want to make changes in Vision SDK memory map to increase the size of DSP1_L2_SRAM_SIZE and for that I have updated DSP1_L2_SRAM_SIZE = 512*KB in mem_segment_definition_bios.xs file and then compiled everything but I don't see any change, it seems changes are not applied properly.

Please help how to increase the size of DSP1_L2_SRAM_SIZE.

Hi Rajesh,

The max size of DSP L2 memory is 288KB, you cannot increases the size beyond this.

In VSDK we have partitioned this to 64 bit cache and 224 bit SRAM.

You can't use the entire 288 as SRAM without any cache. Please note that, too small cache size might affect DSP performance.

We think the above partition is optimum for DSP, but it can slightly vary with the nature of your code/application.
