TDA2x: Calculate number of instructions in a function

I am using TDA2x board and i want to know if there is a way to calculate or find out the number of instructions executed in a particular function?

can you elaborate a bit further? What do you mean by number of instructions per function (assembly instructions) and for which core?

You can disassemble you binary to see the number of instructions, but they will not show you how fast they will be executed, at least in modern processors...

As Stan suggested, please use assembly file to calculate no. of instructions.
You can generate assembly files using --asm compiler flag. Also if it just one or two functions you can just check no. of instructions in CCS assembly view.

Hello Prasad,

I used the --asm compiler flag, but the assembly file didn't get generated.
Is there any other way of generating this file?
