TDA2EG: ddr3 support

Part Number: TDA2EG

The TDA2EG supports ddr3's frequency up to 1333MHz. If I have a ddr3 which frequency is up to 1600MHz, which set of ddr3 timing in the specification should I fill into the DDRTimings of the EMIFTools,1333MHz or 1600MHz ?

  • Hi,

Generally DDR memories are backward compatible with slower speed grades, in which you can use the slower speed grade timings. If it is not stated in the DDR datasheet, you should check with your memory supplier.

Regardless of the DDR timings used, the clock frequency should not exceed the TDA2EG supported frequency.

    Best regards,
    Kevin
