Part Number: TDA3
Can I use the TDA3 chip to create a view like Fujitsu's OmniView?

LEE DG ,
In the doc that Yordan gave you, it literally states "Figure 1: Illustration of a surround view camera system and the fish-eye images captured by each camera."
So yes, you should be able to achieve same use case with Vision SDK and an ADAS chip.
Thanks,
Alex
Hi Lee,
In order to support a fish eye view on the synthesized image, we would have to change the model of the virtual camera (in the mesh tool) from a pinhole camera to one that of a fisheye camera. This typically entails adding a distortion LUT on top of the projective transform. There maybe additional challenges since our blending and stitching algorithm may break in the case of fisheye virtual camera. We would have to do further experiments to gauge the feasibility of this approach.

Hi,
I have tried to implement it like a fuijtus omiview image while chainging the value of srv_views.txt with the mesh tool but I faild.
Please give me advice how to chang the value of srv_views.txt or what to change.
Thanks
JP Park
Hi JP,
You cannot implement this view by changing the srv_views.txt parameters. You would have to go deep in to the mesh tool source code and modify the virtual camera model.
Please request the respective TI Field engineer to enable you in getting the source code for the tool. I will try and see if i can provide some information on how this can be done in the tool and provide you a readme file.
