RTOS: Image deterioration in HDMI input / output

Hello,

I am facing the same issue with TDA2xx board. I have gone through the existing thread, but I am unable to find the related settings.

Could you please tell me that where I get the Input setting, HDMI setting and display setting to check CSC coefficient? Please tell me the specific files and functions.

Hi Sayali,

Do you see distortion or brightness? In the thread above, image from the HDMI is slightly darker, but there is no distortion. could you please recheck?

I found the DSS CSC setting and it's BT601. I also got to know that how to convert BT601 to BT709.
But for changing CSC coefficient first I have to check input and HDMI setting.
For that please tell me where I will get input and HDMI setting (CSC coefficient) files specifically?

Hello Brijesh,

Yes, I have gone through the above link and also tried with the new csc coefficients i.e. BT709 in dss pipeline. But it's showing the slightly darker output like previous output.

The issue remains the same. Please guide.

Hi Birjesh,

I followed your suggestions in the previous thread regarding the dss csc coefficient for video pipeline [I have assumed here that PROCESSOR_SDK_VISION_03_03_00_00\ti_components\drivers\pdk_01_09_00_17\packages\ti\drv\vps\src\vpslib\hal\src\vpshal_dssDispcOvlyTda3xx.c file corresponds to video pipeline].

Now, I am stuck with two points here which are CSC configuration for VENC and HDMI configuration. Could you please suggest specific files to check these configurations?

Where are you seeing issue? Can you also first enable DSS WB and check if it looks ok?

Hi Sayali,

We found that this is a driver issue on TDA3xx where one of the offsets is wrong.
On TDA2xx those particular coefficients are configured automatically by HW depending on the FULL_RANGE bit.
Can you first do a write back and check what is the output that you are getting.
