RTOS/TDA2P-ACD: Coax cable length affects I2C operations

Hi,

I'm using serializer UB953 and deserializer UB960. If I use shorter cable everything is OK. But, with longer cables I2C writes to serializer or sensor often fails. Is there some deserializer configuration that can prevent this kind of problems?

Hi Stan,

Yes, I'm receiving data in both cases but with longer cable often I need to retry I2C write to serializer/sensor to get data in first case. Also, during video streaming there are a lot of I2C writes to sensor because of auto exposure and with longer cable a lot of them fails.

What is the I2C speed - 100kHz or 400kHz?

Are the PCB boards your custom design? Can you provide the schematic, here or send me by mail?

Is the longer cable of 50 ohm impedance? You said longer, how longer is it?

It seems that problem was with cable I used, after I changed cable everything is OK, not sure what was the problem, but I will close this thread. Thank you.
