Is there a general purpose user guide for the TMDXICE3359 ?  http://www.ti.com/tool/tmdxice3359

I have the schematics, layout and the SysBios SDK user guide, but that was it.

SysBios - http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/AM335x_SYSBIOS_Industrial_SDK_Getting_Started_Guide

Thanks

    No, at least not yet...

We started a page for AM335x boards on the processor wiki. But info is still limited. Sorry.

Let us know if you have specific questions and we try to help.

    Regards.

    Dear Frank:

I have the same question. I just got the TMDXICE3359 box, but I can't find the "quick start guide". It should be inside the box, as mentioned in the web page of TMDXICE3359:

    • ICE circuit board
    • Power supply (24V) with universal pin adapter and power cables
    • Quick Start Guide
    • USB cable for debug

I need the guide to setup everything, including hardware, toolchain, and frimware.

From the web page, it said:

EtherCAT/PROFIBUS master/PLC equipment to communicate with the TI ICE (not included)

    Where can I get it?

    Dear Frank:

Follow the wiki link, I already got the tools and user guides. It seems the web page should be updated to provide a download link to the tools/user guides location.

    Calvin,

TI does not sell PLC equipment. We also do not have any master software. The EVMs are designed to work with standard equipment that you can get from many of the well known vendors of PLC and industrial communications systems. In this case Google is your friend...

For EtherCAT you may use the trial version of TwinCAT from Beckhoff.

    Regards.

Android and Linux are not supported on ICE. ICE is specifically targeted to Industrial Communications applications where low foot-print OS such as SYS/BIOS is more suitable. That is provided in the SYS/BIOS industrial SDK for ICE board available from http://www.ti.com/tool/sysbiossdk-ind-sitara.

    Thanks.

I am in the same position; I have all of the documents (starter guide, user guide, release notes) and I still can't do anything with the board.

when I try to compile the examples, the linker fails telling me that the memory overlaps...
