Hi,

While trying to connect our JTAG probe to AM335x processor, we are facing issues during coresight initialization.

We are able to read ROM table base address is read as 0x80040000. But the very 1st table entry at this address is 0. So no Cortex Debug controller is found and out initialization fails. We want to know if the returned result is correct and for some reason we are not able to read it properly? Or is it that the address has been read incorrectly and we need to work with another ROM table base address.

Hi,

I can't get anything sensible from the reported ROM tables of either the OMAP4430 or the AM335x.

The debug component of the OMAP4430 is at 0x54140000 and is documented in the TRM.

The debug component of the AM335x appears to be at 0x80001000 but isn't documented in the TRM.

We were able to find a work around by using the Core Debug Base Address. Our probe now works fine with AM335x.

Dear Ti engineers,

I'm facing the same problem.
My JTAG emulator requires CoreSight ROMTABLE base address when I choose Cortex-A8 as core processor.
How to specify which ROMTABLE address of Cortex-A8 in AM3352?

I tried to read CP14 register using assembler following to Cortex-A8 manual
However the read result was zero.
