Hi,

 

I am trying to open the example application from SDK and tried to build with code composer CCS5. But always it gives me warning as no permissions to $project/../Debug or release and will not be able to open the project. I have SDK installed in /usr/local. I am not even able to create a new project.

Is it something to do with permissions if so how to set them?

 

Could you please help me in building the same.

    Raja,

    You could try installing the SDK into the default location which should have proper permissions.  If not then you will need to use the chmod and chown commands to change the permissions in the directory where you installed the SDK.

    i am trying to use TI starter ware for using sample programs. While building starter ware i am gettig error as arm-none-eabi tool chain is not available. From where to download  the same. Could you provide me the link.

    Raja,

    I believe starterware uses a codesourcery toolchain.  I'll ask someone from the starterware team to answer which toolchain they use.

    Raja,

             StarterWare supports CCS (5.1.09 or later) and GCC (arm-none-eabi-) tool chains. Please refer http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/StarterWare_Getting_Started_02.00.XX.XX#Host_platform_Requirements for more information.

    I am not able to install Code compose studio  properly for Sitara Am3359, the Code Compose Studio is installed properly , but I'm not able to get the desktop icon ? what should i do??

    Hi,

    Are you installing in Linux or Windows?

    If it is linux and installation is successful, you should get an option in applications or u can even find in /opt/ti path.
