How to access the GPIO on a TMDXEVM3588?

With the TMDXEVM3358 (http://www.ti.com/tool/tmdxevm3358) how many GPIO I can work with this evaluation Module??? In the Wiki talks CPLD handle it, but I don't know how to do it. And also I've downloaded a .xls with the pin assignment and modes of muxing but there's no GPIO. Thanks.]

And also what SW do you use for operate the .dat files in the link you recommended??, Pspice don't recognize it,

Hi Biser good evening.

I'm working in a project that requires 3 uarts and LCD working together, I wonder if the board "AM335x Evaluation Module (TMDXEVM3358)" can do it, because I've checked the pin muxing, and with the same profile (configured by the CPLD's switch) I didn't find a profile which has the 3 options working at the same time. Am I wrong? or is there some way for doing it??

And my last question, for programming the AM335x EVM, is it necessary buying the JTAG adaptor posted in the wiki??

3 UARTs won't be possible without reworking the base board (UART1 connections to WLAN can be disconnected and you will have 3.3V level UART1), probably Linux will need to be modified too, because it's configured at runtime according to the board profile.

As for the JTAG adapter, this will depend on what your JTAG is. If your JTAG has a CTI-20 header there is no need for an adapter.

For re-working the base-board for having three o more uarts available, Should I use the "Pin Mux Utility for ARM MPU Processors"?? that is in the link posted below(1). In that case, the connection between the "EVM Base board" and the PC is through USB??

AM335X GP EVM connection to PC is always on UART0, through the DB-9 connector J12. If you set the board in profiles #4 - 6 you have one more additional UART (2, 3 or 5). In these same profiles if you disconnect UART1 from the level translator U16 you can also use it as an additional external UART (@3.3V levels).

In my case, I need to use the touch-screen and checking the AM335x_gpevm_pinuse.xls I only can use the "profile #2" Because in this profile the LCD pins are available and the UART4, UART0 and if I disconnect the U16 in the baseboard I'll have the UART1 free as you suggested.

Before buying the EVM I have the next questions.

1. In the link (a) attached below, it says that the UART4 is in J10 (AM335x UART4 => J10), but I couldn't find the UART4 in the schematic, it's only named the UART1 in the input in the MAX3232E, is it an error in the schematic ? In the excel file, profile #2, row 34 and 35 the UART 4 is there called.

2. The WLAN/BT board is included, right ?

In profile #2 UART4 comes out on AM335X pins T17 and U17. These signals are crossed over in the CPLD on the daughterboard to come out on the appropriate connector.

I cannot say about what's included in the package. This question should be addressed to the vendor.

So, Can I trust that the appropriate connector is the J10 in the GP daughterboard for UART4??

It should be, so far I haven't heard of any complaints about this.
