You just run the .bin file as executable in Linux environment and it will install the SDK. For setup of SDK check the scripts described in the wiki.

I have a ubuntu 12.04 64 bits and found just now in the forum that it may be easiier to have a 32 installation as there is some issue with 64bits vrsion so I think I will setup a 32 bits machine and retry to install the package...

On 64-bit Linux machine you have to install 32-bit libraries:

sudo apt-get install ia32-libs

I think this will work.

But if you can setup 32-bit Linux machine it is also OK.

Also check the forum for IDK and Linux... the Linux SDK does not support the AM3359 IDK directly.

Only IA-SDK (Sys/Bios 6 based) supports the IDK at the moment.

My real need is to have vxworks running on the idk board, but for burning my vxworks image on nand flash I must in a first step be able to have u-boot running on the idk. Then I can flash my vxworks image with u-boot. But unfortunatly it seems there is no default sdcard image with u-boot that I can directly use( or maybe a default u-boot binary that I can launch via uart). So I think I have to manually build the u-boot image I need..
