Is this after you plug in the BBB or before?

     The picture of device manager shown above, is after I have pluged in the BBB and installed the windows 7 drivers from the website.

I think the correct sequence should be install drivers first and plug in BBB after the drivers are installed.

     Based from this website below, I need to plug in the BBB first. Anyway, I have seen other people in the internet, having problems installing drivers for their BBB. I will try their solution maybe tomorrow.

I have uninstalled programs in windows with "Beaglebone XXX"

Re-installed drivers successfully and followed the instructions from the youtube link below. But, still I have the exclamation at device manager. I also can't access the website at http://192.168.7.2. I don't have a SD card yet. I am just new to BBB. Any help would be appreciated.

Kel, just installed BBB drivers on my Office PC with Windows 7 64bit:

This is my Device Manager as of now. Did you download the drivers BONE_D64 from beagleboard.org? I am having a bad day? Adds to stress.

Did you install drivers as mentioned at step 2 from the link above. Here below is what was mentioned

Additional FTDI USB to serial/JTAG information and drivers are available from http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm.
Note: Additional USB to virtual Ethernet information and drivers are available from http://www.linux-usb.org/gadget/ and http://joshuawise.com/horndis.

Let's start over.

Uninstall the current driver, reboot, press F8 during system boot, select 'Disable driver signature enforcement' in the resulting boot menu, and continue the boot process. Install the un-modified driver package you downloaded earlier. If the driver is still banged out in DevMan, double-click it and post a screenshot of the details tab indicating what the problem is.

Win7 x64 requires that all drivers be digitally signed by default. If the driver you are attempting to install is not signed, it won't install. Modifying the driver or the associated INF will invalidate any existing digital signature.

Thanks for your reply. I have a BBB Rev. B based from my research and I am installing drivers at Windows 7 64-bit. I did as what you have instructed.

Uninstalled at Control Panel->Programs->Programs and Features

1. Uninstalled BeagleBone CDM Driver Package - Bus/D2XX Driver
2. Uninstalled BeagleBone CDM Driver Package - VCP Driver
3. Linux Developer Community (usbser) Ports
4. Linux Developer Community Net

Here is the snapshot below before uninstalling

5. Reboot and press F8 Disable driver signature enforcement
6. Install sucessfully drivers from http://beagleboard.org/Getting+Started Windows 64-bit Installer BONE_D64

I still get the same results at Device Manager. Here is the pic of the General and Details tab.

I try to install the FTDI drivers from the beagleboard website. But I get an access is denied error. Also, I see some discussions in the internet that I need to modify the .inf files for FTDI. But, I think those discussion are for older versions of the Beablebone. Here are some links below that discusses that.

I just installed the driver on a fresh Win7 x64 OS without issue, so the problem lies on your end somewhere.

To uninstall the driver, right click the banged out driver in DevMan and click 'uninstall'. If there is a checkbox for 'Delete the driver software for this device', select it before clicking OK. Reboot and try the installer again, but this time right click the driver installer and select 'Run as Administrator'.

Is it possible your antivirus is flagging the driver package?

     Thanks for all your help so far. But, the problem still remains. I was able to uninstall the drivers at Device Manager. I also disabled antivirus. Anyway, I will continue this driver installation troubleshooting tomorrow, as it is sleep time where I am. This is the snapshot of my Device Manger as of now.
