Migration to AM3359 silicon v2

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3359

Hi,

I'm using AM3359 on my custom device (based on TMDXICE3359)

Do I re-design my device circuit in order to use AM335x silicon v2?

Is there any change of pin assignment or something?

Thank you.

Teyun.

  • I recommend you read the AM335x Silicon Errata.  This document describes a few differences.  For example, Advisory 1.0.6 describes the polarity change of the EXTINTn input.

Another example, is the difference between Usage Note 3.1.4 and 3.1.6.  The rmii2_crs_dv signal was added as another pin multiplexing option to Mode2 of the gpmc_csn3 pin and Mode3 of the gpmc_a9 pin.

Note: You should be using the pin mux tool to verify AM335x pin assignments.  Make sure you select the correct silicon revision when you start the pin mux tool.

The AM335x TRM also has a section discussing silicon revision differences.

    Regards,
    Paul
