Hi, i've been tinkering with the am3352 pinmux utility and a came to the conclusion that we cannot have the 2 ethernet ports(MII mode) and the GPMC available at the same time... is this correct?

Hi Joao,

This is not entirely true. A NAND flash can be connected to the GPMC while both MII interfaces are in use. Just make sure you read Usage Note 3.1.4 in the AM335X Errata Rev. F.

Hi, i've read the usage note 3.1.4 from the am335X errata , and my question is the following:

if i understood correctly the gpmc wait 0 pin will be used in 2 ways, gpmc and mii.

do we have to configure the pin twice ?

one time for gpmc mode and then to mii mode when the mii starts?

if so, where is this configuration made (the second one) ? since the first one(the gpmc mode) is done on uboot source code

Initially the ROM code will configure the pin as GPMC_WAIT0. You will need to pinmux it to MII function AND drive the external switch to connect the MII line to the pin. This can be done where pinmuxing is normally done in u-boot.
