Do you have your CONFIG_SPI_SPIDEV enabled in the kernel configuration?
Please read the <kernel_dir>/Documentation/spi/spidev document.
Best regards,
Miroslav
Hi Miroslav,
Thanks for reply. The configuration is enabled in CONFIG_SPI_SPIDEV. And also I enabled CONFIG_SPI as well as CONFIG_SPI_MASTER also. And also CONFIG_SPI_OMAP24XX and CONFIG_SPI_TI_QSPI is also enabled in configuration of kernel.
I have followed the thread http://e2e.ti.com/support/embedded/linux/f/354/t/340805.aspx for enabling pin mux in am335x-bone-common.dtsi.
Still the device is not showing in /dev. Am I missing some other configuration or some other setup.

Problem has been solved. Since I am using network boot, I have to copy newly built zImage file to /tftpboot folder of host. After copying I can able see spidev in /dev tree.
Thanks
