Issues with board based on TI Sitara 335x.

Hi,

I am working on a board based on TI Sitara 335x. It has dual Ethernet port. We are using Sitara SDK Version 6.00.00. The firmware is configured for Dual MAC mode. I have connected eth0 of the board to the LAN and eth1 to a device (like a PC). I have dhcpd running on eth1 to form a crash net. I have connected eth1 to a PC.

When I bring the eth0 down and up with commands "ifconfig eth0 down" and "ifconfig eth0 up", I don't see the eth0 acquiring an IP address. The board is not reachable. I need to reboot the board to bring it back to normal condition.

Only if I bring down eth1 and then eth0 and then bring up eth0 and eth1, it works fine.

On the forums, I read about a defect related for ifup down/up on dual emac mode. The bug id is ARM_MPU_SDK.BTS_KERNEL.79 and issue filed is SDOCM00094019 (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Sitara_SDK_6.00.00_Release_Notes#Known_Issues). I am not sure if this is the same issue as I am seeing since I am not able to get more details on this issue.

Any response from someone who has observed the issue that I am seeing would be highly appreciated. Also, if someone from TI can let me know what SDOCM00094019 is and the status of this defect, that will be great.

Thanks and Regards,
