We had been working on an AM3359 design with two ethernet interfaces, where we had a strong preference for one of them (an EtherCat master) to go through the PRU-ICSS port. It's pretty clear that we can do this using the PRU firmware from the EtherNet/IP example in the am3359 IDK.
We are now considering upgrading the design to an AM437x, which in hardware terms seems capable of exactly the same thing. However, in the am437x_sysbios_ind_sdk_2.0.0.2 I can only find firmware for an EtherCat slave (which is quite different) and not any example of how to use the PRU-ICSS MII as an ordinary packet interface.
Is this something TI have or are working on? Or would the AM3359 firmware work?
