Hi Team,
Is it possible to port a graphics API/Library called PEG that is currently running on an FPGA into a Sitara processor?
Is PEG supported under Linux?
Will PEG be supported on Sitara's built-in graphics hardware?
Thank you,
Trenton Reed

Hi Trenton,

As per my understanding PEG software is explicitly created to be used with RTOS; check: http://cache.freescale.com/files/soft_dev_tools/doc/fact_sheet/PEGSWFS.pdf?fpsp=1
There is the PEG Pro GUI Development tool, which can run under Linux (see http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/prod_summary.jsp?code=PEGPR), but this API/Library is mainly used with RTOS.

It should be possible to run this software on Sitara processors, because the supported hardware includes "All ARM cores, including NXP and Samsung", but IMO this will be left to user to try and integrate PEG in Sitara RTOS (or SDK).
