AM437x IO SET

Guru 15510 points

Hi,

I have questions about AM437x PINMUXTOOLS-v3.

In the following wiki page, it said that
"An IOSet is a group of several specific muxing choices that are valid for this peripheral.
Although other choices might appear possible, they'd introduce timing problems on the peripheral if used."
http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/TI_PinMux_Tool

What is timing problem means?
My understanding is that if selecting unvalid IO set, the peripheral timing spec isn't satisfied and
the peripheral might act abnormally, is it correct?

best regards,
g.f.
