AM335x with USB Controller

Hello,

I was wondering if using the USB capabilities of the AM335x require a USB controller part as well, such as the TUSB6020. Can the Sitara perform this on its own?

My current understanding is that it has this USB controller capability integrated in the system. It may require a Power Switch, if any extra IC. I based this information on a TI reference design schematic I found.

The data transfer is going to be USB Isochronous Bulk Transfer, and will have to be faster than full-speed 12.0 MBps.

Thanks

Your understanding is correct. USB controllers and PHYs are built-in in the AM335X. An external power switch is required for Host mode.
