Can you communicate between an AM335x and AM37xx using the GPMC subsytem?

I just started a project where the end user wants to communicate between an AM335x and an AM37xx via the GPMC subsystems. I haven't seen any forums or reference designs that use the GPMC this way and it seems to me like both the processors act as a host device and one would need to act as the slave for communications to be established. Is it possible for the GPMC to communicate between two processors?

Hi Christopher,

Your understanding is correct. This is a processor host interface so it's impossible to connect two processors directly. It could be possible if a dual-port SRAM is inserted between them.

You may use USB (OTG) for communication. This will give you 480 MBit/s. Not bad...
