Hi:

For the developer, if I want to enabling function for PRU, which version of SDK sould I use?

And, what's the big difference between SDK ti-processor-sdk-linux-am437x-evm-01.00.00.03 and

ti-processor-sdk-linux-am437x-evm-01.00.00.00.

Fianlly, is there any plan for issuing PRU patches based on SDK ti-processor-sdk-linux-am437x-evm-01.00.00.03 recently?

Hi,

The latest SDK release is the recommended one: http://software-dl.ti.com/sitara_linux/esd/processor-sdk/PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-AM437X/latest/index_FDS.html You will also need to install the PRU Addon Package which can be found on the same link.

Hi Biser:
The PRU Addon Package only supports ti-processor-sdk-linux-am437x-evm-01.00.00.00 not ti-processor-sdk-linux-am437x-evm-01.00.00.03, and the patches for PRU only can be apply to ti-processor-sdk-linux-am437x-evm-01.00.00.00(kernel version : 3.14.26).
Is there any suggestions?

Cindy,

A new version of the PRU SWPKG is currently being worked on that will install on top of the 01.00.00.03 release of the Processor SDK. This should be available in the next few weeks.

An alternative for now would be to use an archived version (01.00.00.00) of the Processor SDK with the currently available version (v2.0) of the PRU SWPKG.

Hi Jason:
What is the difference for SDK(1.00.00.00) between (1.00.00.03)?
Does it need to take more efforts for porting or integration bsp from (1.00.00.00) to (1.00.00.03)?

As an update to this thread, version 3.0.0 of the PRU Software Support Package is now available for download (www.ti.com/.../PRU-SWPKG). This release will install on top of the Processor SDK v1.0.0.3 for both the AM335x as well as the AM437x device.
