Hi All,

I'm working on AM4377 PRU-ICSS MII_RT module porting from SYS-BIOS RTOS to VxWorks RTOS.

I'm taking VxWorks ethernet driver for my reference.

In VxWorks Ethernet driver they are using DMA for handling packets (sending packets to stack). But in SYS-BIOS RTOS they are not using

DMA for this purpose, Is DMA usage is possible for this purpose since there is no dedicated DMA controller present for PRU-ICSS.

How I can proceed??

Any update, I need this info ASAP since testing will start in few days.
Before this I have to complete my implementation.

Hi,

No, DMA isn't currently used by the ICSS Driver. There is a memcpy involved in the driver to copy the buffer to DDR.
However, EDMA can actually replace this.
