Ping break while Broadcast

Hi,

I am working on AM335x board, and set the IPs for both the interfaces eth0 and eth1.

Both interfaces connected to same switch.

"ntpd" is running in background in AM335x.

Now i started pinging from PC to AM335x board (eth0).

Here we are are facing the ping break while broadcasting on Wireshark.

Here am attaching snapshots for reference.

Hi,

If your CPSW is configured in Dual MAC mode the two Ethernet ports cannot be connected to the same network segment.

Thanks for quick replay,
I can understand,but kernel 3.12 this issue is solved problem with 3.2 only.

This is not a kernel issue. This is a network requirement. See this wiki: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Linux_Core_CPSW_User's_Guide#Constraints

hi,

I have two Ethernet interfaces,now eth0 is default but i need eth1 is a default network.
please tell me procedure to change eth1 as default.

I apologize but I am not able to follow what you are trying do. Could you explain what you mean by default interface? what is the network topology. Which kernel are you using? Why do you want to connect both interfaces to the same subnet?

Can it be similar issue? What is sirq utilization during ping outage?
