Where is the image boot and NFS location of my system?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3359, TFP410, TPS65910, WL1271

Hi,

Since using .dtb file, I find that TFTP boot and remote NFS always have problem on Sitara AM3359 SK board.

I do not success to generate uboot.env yet. uEnv.txt is still used now. Its content is:

serverip=192.168.0.109
ipaddr=192.168.0.112
loadaddr=0x82000000
rootpath=/home/u64rj/ti-processor-sdk-linux-am335x-evm-01.00.00.03/targetNFS
bootfile=zImage
ip_method=dhcp
autoload=no
bootdelay=5
tftp_nfs_boot=run findfdt; setenv autoload no;dhcp; tftp 0x82000000 am335x-evmsk.dtb; run findfdt; tftp tftp 0x82d80000 am335x-evmsk.dtb; run netargs; bootz 0x82000000 - 0x82d80000
uenvcmd=run tftp_nfs_boot

The boot message is below. It looks like TFTP the kernel succeeds, but TFTP NFS fails. Is it right?

At the end of the message, it shows:

root@am335x-evm:~# cat /proc/cmdline
console=ttyO0,115200n8 root=/dev/mmcblk0p2 ro rootfstype=ext4 rootwait

Does it only mean that NFS is at mmc memory? It does not say where the kernel is from?

Thanks,

  • Hi,

    When I modify two lines of the previous uEnv.txt as:

    serverip=192.168.0.109
    ipaddr=192.168.0.112
    loadaddr=0x82000000
    rootpath=/home/u64rj/ti-processor-sdk-linux-am335x-evm-01.00.00.03/targetNFS

    uenvcmd=run tftp_nfs_boot

    it even fails boot the kernel.

    The echo message is here:

    Could you help me on TFTP of both the kernel and NFS?

    Thanks,

  • Could you try the steps from this post:
    e2e.ti.com/.../1443085
  • In fact, I had tried several times based on the thread without success. There are a few differences between the .dtb and the old SDK 8.
    Now, I just correct the problem with new parameters.
    Thanks for prompt reply.
