Connection of AM437x USB port and external USB base Touch Screen controller

Hi,

I have a question about AM437x.

My customer are going to connect LCD display which have integrated USB base Touch Panel Driver IC.

They are thinking of connecting AM437x USB port and this USB base touch panel driver IC of LCD.

Is this connection available?

If available, is there a point that they should pay attention?

Hi g.f,

How are they going to do the connection? Via USB cable and USB connectors? I suppose that the AM437X USB port should be in Host mode, but cannot say precisely without knowing what's on the other side.

Assuming that this is a USB2.0 compliant touch panel device, there should be no issue in using it in the manner that you have described. Please review the USB checklist (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/AM437x_Schematic_Checklist) and ensure that our high-speed layout guidelines (www.ti.com/lit/an/spraar7e/spraar7e.pdf) are followed.
