Type of register on AM572x

Hi,

I have one qustion for AM572x processor's registes type.

According to the TRM of Am572x, there is description of PRUSS_IEP_GLOBAL_STATUS register(Table 30-208).

And register type is RWr1Ctr in written in its table. What is this meaning? I think that this register is readable/writable, and Write "1" to appropriate bit, its bit is cleared. Is my understanding?

Also I found the below sentence in other register description.

R/W
W1toClr

is the above sentence same meaning as "RWr1Clr" ?

I don't know why two types words in the TRM. Please let me know.

I appreciate your quick reply.

Best regards,

Michi

  • Yes, W1toClr means "Write 1 to clear". I will bring this the attention of the TRM team, to be corrected in future releases.
  • Hi,

    Yes, your understanding is correct.

W1toClr & Wr1Clr both mean Write 1 to Clear. These are alignment issues in the documentation and they should be cleared in next releases of the TRM/DM.

    Best Regards,
