Beaglebone Black for Video recording?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TVP5150AM1

Hi,

I am working on a project in which I need to store video from a camera module onto an SD card. The camera is a cheap china one easily available on amazon, whose output is an NTSC signal. I am confused which CPU to use still. I was going throught the Beagle board options and found two, the black and the normal beagle board. Iam not sure which one to choose among those two. Since Beagleboard black (AM335x) is cheap, I would like to use it. But I dont know if its fast enough to do both compression and Storage in real time. Please do share your opinions.

thanks

Vivek
