Linux EZSDK with Debian as a Desktop

Hi there,

is it possible to run the Linux EZSDK with Debian?

I want to use the best performance on my beaglebone black by compiling a new Linux EZSDK kernel with Debian Desktop environment.

Thanks

Michael

  • Hi Michael,

It is possible, but it will require quite a lot of effort to port it.
The first thing that comes to my mind is the framework, on top of which your desktop environment works. As far as I know Debian distros use X11, while the latest TI SDKs use Qt, Wayland/Weston, you need to change that in order to have fully functional debian desktop.

    Best Regards,
