Are you talking about the underlying implementation? It uses a proprietary instruction set defined by Imagination Technologies (the creator of this particular GPU). It's expected that you utilize the GPU through the OpenGL ES software interface which would abstract you from those details.

Hi Brad,

Yes I am talking about the underlying implementation. I am using the GPU through openGL ES. I wanted information about the SGX544 hardware capability ex: does it support fixed or floating point operations, does it support vector operations etc. Hence I wanted to know what instruction set was being used.

The "general programmable" part of the GPU isn't the thing doing all the processing. It just schedules it. So getting the instruction set isn't going to help you all that much. There are multiple different hardware units that are managed and scheduled to do all the graphics processing. There are many documents available from Imagination to help you understand the hardware architecture as well as to use the GPU more effectively. These can be found here:
