Dear.
I want design the iris recognition system by TI AM5718 u-C and stereo camera.
so I need the 2 ch MIPI camera interface on dev board.
and I find the Manufacturer Part # :TMDXIDK5718-BTA
Pls let me know How to get the board?
Thank you.

Dear Ms. Blinka.
Thank you for your answer.
My question.
1. I need the stereo camera on AM5718 (or AM5716) so soon release Dev. board is, can be connect with two MIPI camera?
My request
2. I try to download the AM5718 ORCAD file on TI.COM site but the link is connect with the AM5728. I can not find out the AM5718 HW information.
As know that AM5728 is not connect with MIPI CSI-2 cameara, so I need ORCAD file for AM5718
Please could you let me know How to get the orcad file for the AM5718?
Thank you for your kindly support.

Hello IB Kim,
The pins used for CSI2 are in Table 4-7 in the AM5718 datasheet. If you look at the IDK EVM (Industrial Development Kit) you are referencing, these CSI2 pins are either not connected or used as GPIO for other functions and therefore can't be used for CSI2. If you are only interested in CSI2 / MIPI then the IDK board will not be helpful. It does have a single camera interface but it uses an 8-bit Video Input Port. More information on VIP can be found in Chapter 9 of AM57xx TRM.
I think what you may want to do is take the AM5728 General Purpose EVM ORCAD files as a starting base and use it to design for the AM5718. The two devices are almost fully pin-to-pin compatible. You will need to review the Compatibility Guide that will help you understand the SoC hardware differences and how they impact software (very minimally).

Ahmad
Hello Blinka!
Nice information for me. thanks.
More question about How to connect MIPI camera between AM5718 u-C?
As know that, general camera is connect with data line (this case MIPI CSI2_0 ~ CSI2_1) and control line (Vshyc, Hsync, MCLK etc)
My design, I should connect two MIPI cameara that is need two control line (Vshyc, Hsync, MCLK etc).
Pls. let me know How to connect two MIPI camera on AM5718?
Regards.
IB Kim
Hi Kim,
A diagram of two image sensors connected to the AM571x can be found in Chapter 8 / Figure 8-1 of the AM571x TRM (technical reference manual).
Further down in the TRM, Figure 8-5 shows the "lane" assignments for the differential pairs. Lane 0 is usually the clock line while the others are used for data. You can use anywhere from 1 data lane to 4 data lanes (depends on the image sensor).
For control only I2C is needed to modify register settings of the image sensor or CSI2 bridge. Here is another example of the CSI2 interface.

Ahmad
Dear.
How to get the reference HW design file (*.DSN) for AM5718 or AM5716?
Because I try HW desgin for AM5718 with two MIPI camera modules
that use AM5728 HW design file(*.DSN) and AM572x/AM571x Compatibility Guide file(sprabx8c_AM572x_AM571x.pdf)
but it is difficult to me so I need the HW reference disign file for AM5718 u-C.
How to get it.
Best regards
IB Kim
Dear.
I was design the MIPI CSI2 camera module but MIPI CSI2 require the CSI2 clock.
In Tech. spec. is
CSI2_PHY1 with 4 data lanes / 1 clock lane
CSI2_PHY2 with 2 data lanes / 1 clock lane
but MIPI CSI2 5 IO line of AM5718 are just from CSI2_0_dx0 and CSI2_0_dy0 to CSI2_0_dx4 and CSI2_0_dy4 (5 MIPI lane) .
Please could let know,
How to connect between 1 clock lane the CSI2_0_dx0 and CSI2_0_dy0
or CSI2_0_dx4 and CSI2_0_dy4 ? or other connec to lane in AM5718?
Best regrds
