AM57XX TCP Performance with Linux Processor SDK

I am confused for the AM57XX TCP Performance. Bandwidth can exceed 1,000 Mbits/sec in the results with Linux Processor SDK.

The theoretical throughput in Gigabit Ethernet is 1,000 Mbits/sec. Why do the results with Linux Processor SDK exceed the theoretical throughput?

The theoretical max is 2 Gbps on a full duplex link, 1 Gbps for tx and 1Gbps for rx. Information can flow both ways simultaneously.

The test that you are referring to is run in dual mode which is testing both send and receive. The results are added together which is why the number is greater than 1Gbps.

The command for the test is this, the -d is invoking the dual option.

iperf -c <server ip> -w <window size> -m -f M -d -t 60
