AM437x eMMC boot

Hi expert,

Now some of my customers is designing the AM437x eMMC boot functionality,as AM437x GPEVM,SK,IDK boards can not support the eMMC booting, do we have any reference design for this AM437x eMMC boot functionality verification?

The Rico Board & MYD-C437X Development Board have a 4GB eMMC flash. However, I think that those devices are not officially supported by TI.

Hi Jian,

I just checked the schematic for Rico Board, and eMMC (connected to MMC1) boot is NOT supported. I cannot verify the case with MYDC437x board, because I do not have the full shcematic (cannot download the CPU module schematic).

Thanks! I will try to get the CPU module schematic of MYDC437x board.
Another qusetion that I want to confirm with you is if AM437x MMC1 can support the eMMC v5.1 and above, since the 8G and above eMMC chip mainly use the v5.1.
I have verified the AM335x MMC1 that it can support eMMC v5.1 boot.
