AM335x ISDK - how to build ptp_lib

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSBIOS, AM3359

I am experimenting with PTP on a Beaglebone Black using and example in the sdk, ethernetip_adapter located in sysbios_ind_sdk_02.01.02.02/sdk/examples/ethernetip_adapter.  This example uses several functions in the library ptp_lib.  Is the source code for this library available?

  • The ISDK team have been notified. They will respond here.
  • Bradley,

    did you check c:\ti\sysbios_ind_sdk_02.01.02.02\sdk\protocols\ptp\?
There are quite a few source files.

Are you aware that the SDK does not support Beagle boards? All the examples are only usable with AM3359 ICE boards.

Thanks.  All references appear to be resolved.

    It certainly doesn't!

We bought the Beaglebone boards because we could connect them to a 1588 phy device using GPMC through the expansion connector.  The goal here was to determine the latency and PTP clock jitter using a PRU software solution.  If we need to buy an ICE board we will, but is this time documented somewhere?
