RTOS/PROCESSOR-SDK-AM335X: Compile errors

We are migrating from NXP to TI Sitara AM335x/TI-RTOS. This said, it has been completely frustrating and pretty much impossible to get anything (but the simple printf) work/compile. The PDK cannot be built, the example projects have compile errors, and nothing helps.

Host: Windows 10

CCS version 7

I am willing to pay for an FAE to set this up. It's been almost a week and 3 reinstalls, pouring through everything online (including videos). I do not want to waste more time.

Steps Needed to Recreate Problem:

Very simple. Just download CCS7, install Processor SDK for AM335x_RTOS, create a new CCS Project, choose Beaglebone as platform (or EVMAM335) and use SYS-Bios/Typical example. Click on the app.config and enable NDK. Now build. It fails.

PDK rebuild: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Rebuilding_The_PDK ... clean succeeds but everything else miserably fails.

Hi,

Sorry for the bad experience, the Processor SDK 3.2 release is built with CCS 6.1.3 as given in release note software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html

Using CCS 7 is not tested so there may be problems. And we have plan moving future releases to CCS7. Could you please try with the suggested CCS 6.1.3? Download link: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Download_CCS

Thanks. They are back alas my I am not closer.

Had VPF errors which I fixed by changing compiler options (shouldn't the option be defaulted?).

Now, I am back to the original issue + more: compilation errors all over the place.

Is it at all possible to send me a Test Project with SYS/BIOS example template that includes:

1. NDK (DHCP client, DNS client, Telnet)

2. PDK (GPIO and UART)

3. FAT File system (SD Card/SDIO)

Again, I am willing to pay for someone to set this up.

Hi,

The Processor SDK provides the example for each individual drivers. Integrating multiple drivers into a system is a customized work and we don't have such for each customer request. There is an example we combined SPI and ICSS EMAC on AM437x e2e.ti.com/.../557751 you may take a look.
