HI,

I am using TI Rtos software and i would like to access the onboard LED using I2C2 but can not get the desired result. I have configured i2c instance as 2 and slave address as 0x60 provided in " the code is getting stuck on I2C_transfer(handle, &i2cTransaction);

can you provide direction on how to configure the I2c2

hi,
how to add led_industrial to diag app for AM437x IDK.
i have modified make file in Diag app as "idkAM437x_DIAG = framework framework_loader led qspi mem mmcsd uart eeprom mcspi rtc led_industrial"
but during make file it gives me error.
How to Run the I2c2 application on AM437x IDK

Hi,

The IDK437x EVM Hardware user guide processors.wiki.ti.com/.../AM437x_IDK_EVM_HW_User_Guide shows I2C2 is connected to LED with address 0x60. So I believe this is the logic that you want to test the 8 LEDs with I2C2 driver.

From processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Processor_SDK_RTOS_DIAG you can see that IDK437x industrial LED is not supported. Under ti\board\diag\led_industrial\build, there are only 3 platforms: iceK2G, IDK571X, IDK572X there. You need to create a folder with the same structure for IDK437x, then create a makefile to get started. Looking for if led_industrial_test.c is generic so it also applies to AM437x IDK. Checking if board library has I2C2 enabled and PINMUX setting right.

hi eric,
I have created new folder name "idkAM437x" inside led_industrial --> Build after that i have copied the make file from other Diag project say mcspi .
what part to be modified in make file to be compatible with diag project ?
" Checking if board library has I2C2 enabled and PINMUX setting right" ---> where to look for pin mux setting for enabling I2C2

Hi,

When you use the Diagnostic code, it uses the board library. So you need to check source code under: pdk_am437x_1_0_5\packages\ti\board\src\idkAM437x. If Board_moduleClockInit() and Board_pinmuxConfig() enables I2C2.

HI eric,

I have attached the cmd prompt result and make file that i am using for controlling industrial led. I am getting error on gmake idkAM437x_sd.

i have updated board_cfg.h with slave address and I2C2 instance.

i am not able to understand why i am getting error on gmake.

TI Rtos support I2c0 instance but if it change to I2c2 it dosent work. what are the configuration parameter.

hi,
can you provide the working example of I2C2 on ti rtos as i am unable to work it on my side. this will help me on comparing and understanding the code. also it will help me on Identifying the errors i am doing.

How to create MAKE FILE ? i am new to it. dose copying from other make it work ?

hi,
I have checked your suggestion, but I2c2 is not working on board i think i am missing something ?
I have checked EEPROM read write example it worked but i2c2 is not working. Any pointer on I2c2 so that i can get it worked.
