AM5718: PCIe clock sharing

Part Number: AM5718
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CDCM9102, , LMK00334

Team,

I've got the following question from one of my customers. Can you please help getting an answer? The customer is aware of our routing guidelines, but his use case is not described there:

The clock for PCIe can be set as input and output. In your reference design it is set as input, clock comes from a clock distribution circuit.

I have two SITARAs on my board:

On with one PHY connected to PCIe, the SITARA will deliver this clock as output. All OK.

The other SITARA is connected to two PHYs. I would like to use its clock output to feed both PHYs. Can I connect them directly to the SIRATA (Y-connection) or do I have to use a clock distribution circuit?

To have the same software running on both SITARAs I do not want to use one clock as input and the other as output.

Do you have a schematics for me?

Thanks,
  Robert
