Hello, I am using CCS 7.2 and I am trying to build the AM335x PROFINET SLAVE (IRT). I am having some type of version incompatibility problem between the TI.SYSBIOS.KNL package and the XDC TOOLS as reported during a build -- shown below. The error is that the package "ti.sysbios.knl" is not compatible with the XDC tools used in the build. One confusion is that the error message says to use XDCTools 3.50 or later and I believe that I am using 3.50.02.20.:

Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated!!!

From PDK version, it looks like you are building PROFINET with Processor SDK 4.0. PROFINET 1.0.1 from www.ti.com/.../PRU-ICSS-INDUSTRIAL-SW uses Processor SDK 3.3, which is available at software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html. See system requirement in release note: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../PRU_ICSS_Profinet

Thanks Garrett,

Use of the SDK 3.3 did resolve my build error.

One additional question: are the 226 warnings generated by a REBUILD to be expected?

Removal of the warnings for the PROFINET compilation has been planned in next release.

Thanks Garrett,

One FINAL question: is there a scheduled release date for the next release? I am currently working on a PROFINET product and would really like to get rid of the warnings in my final release.

Mark,

You can delete the '-pedantic' option from project properties->CCS Build->GNU Compiler->Miscellaneous->Other flags, which should remove 200 warnings. The release date for next release is still TBD.
