Linux/AM5718: GStreamer properties clarification

Hi Champs,

I've already got a support below, but I have another question.

o GStreamer qp-max-i property
(e2e.ti.com/.../2335057)

I executed a GStreamer pipleline as following that it was suggested in the above thread. However, stiil qp-max-i seemed to be invalid.
Could you please give me some advise?

ducatih264enc bitrate=1024 entropy-coding-mode=1 rate-preset=low-delay qp-max-i=40 qp-min-i=26 profile=main level=level-51 intra-interval=250 rate-control-params-preset= rate-control-params-preset-user-defined

Hi,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

I am not seeing any error now. When I did not use "rate-preset=low-delay", the generated file size was so big (about x5).
I'm just guessing, but I think I need another properties when I use "rate-control-params-preset".

Hello,

We checked this pipeline:
gst-launch-1.0 videotestsrc num-buffers=1000 ! 'video/x-raw,format=(string)NV12,width=1280,height=720' ! ducatih264enc bitrate=1024 qp-max-i=40 qp-min-i=26 level=level-51 ! h264parse ! filesink location=test.264

It seems the values are changed and it is working.

Thank you for checking the pileline.

I'd like to know how to confirm whether the property works or not. I'm not sure of it.

Hello,

In this case the Elecard was used.
But probably you could check it with some else stream analyzer.

Yes, some additional properties should be set also.

Here is the pipelines for cases qp-max-i=40 and qp-max-i=20 and the results.

The 20 value is confirmed with Elecard also.
