Hi,

There is mentioned about the output short circuit and thermal overload protection in LM48511 data sheet.

Can I get more detailed desription of how it works (scheme or comprehensive comment)?

My customers is going to use the IC, but they need to understnad more about built-in (internal) protections.

Hi Vladimir-san,

Unfortunately, LM48511 has only the thermal overload protection as the following posts.
In addition, its detailed feature isn't disclosed.

Hi Vladimir,

Unfortunately, this is a device very old and the information is limit, so all the available information is in the datasheet.
I recommended you to have a look at the following devices: TPA2013D1 and TPA2015D1 as these devices are Class-D Amplifiers with a boost converter. TPA2011D1 and TPA2038D1 are Class-D Amplifiers that can provide higher output power than the previous ones.
