TAS5630B: TAS5630B overcurrent

Part Number: TAS5630B

Hi TI,

we have a question regarding the overcurrent function (cycle by cycle)  and the resistor Roc: Is it correct that this function changes depending on BTL and PBTL?

According to datasheet, if using 2 x BTL and max output is 300W/pr.channel into 4 ohm, max current should then be totally 17A. When Roc is 22k, then according to datasheet current limit is15A. This should indicate that for BTL, 22k will limit max current to 15A pr.channel?

According to datasheet, if using 1 x PBTL and max output is 400W into 3ohm, max current should then be totally 11,5A. Then the 22k setting limits current to 15A for this single channel.

The max. value for the overcurrent resistor Roc is given to be 33k in the datasheet. Some time ago we got a diagram from TI that showed overcurrent limit vs. Roc. According to this diagram, if 40k is selected the limit for a DKD package will be 11,5A. Is 40k allowed? What is the approximate tolerance in percent ?
