PCM4202: 5V Vcc current consumption?

Part Number: PCM4202

Hi guys,

Me again. I have a customer about to design in the PCM4202, with a request for elaboration on datasheet:

"I am redesigning the analog section of the radar and need to do the power budget for the voltage regulator.

From the datasheet of PCM4202, page 6, I can’t tell how much current is consumed on the 5V VCC. Could you please verify that the first entries are for ICC and the second entries are for IDD?"

Thanks,

Brian

  • Hi Brian!

hello again...you are correct. The device draws max current of 65mA from VCC supply and about 15mA from VDD supply. We will definitely change the DS to make it more clearer next time we are revisiting the DS for release.

    Thanks.

    Best regards,
    Ravi
