Linux/PCM1753: Is there a driver available somewhere yet?

Part Number: PCM1753
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM1780

Tool/software: Linux

We are using the PCM1753 for audio on a new iMX based Linux board. We are looking for a driver and can't find anything for it or even anything similar. The PCM1780 seems to be pin and register compatible but we find nothing for that either. Does anyone have any pointers to source? (Or even advice on how to get it going. Audio is mostly a new subject for us too.)

I know that has been asked before, but it was 6 or more years ago, so maybe something's changed since then?

Thanks in advance!

  • Hi Michael,

Unfortunately we do not have or support drivers for that device. Fortunately this device is very simple, so if you can find any Linux device examples, it should be simple to port it to the PCM1753.

    Thanks,
    Paul
