TLV320AIC3104EVM-K: TLV320AIC3104EVM GUI tools usb connection issue

Part Number: TLV320AIC3104EVM-K

Hello, this is Park.

There was a problem trying to use TLV320AICEVM GUI software tool.

After selecting GUI program 3104version, Program display say that "Connect USB"

GUI tool and usb driver, which are the files listed on the TI website, were downloaded properly.

The TI Korea engineer confirmed that the program was properly installed.

The setup status displayed in Device Manager is the same as in the datasheet.

How can i solve this problem? I want that you proposed many ways that solve the problem.

I hope you can come up with a quick solution.

Thank you for your kind.

  • JUNGHWAN PARK,

please check the position of the switches on USBMODEVM SW-2

All of the switches should be set to "LO" (LEFT)  except Switch 6 and switch 8.

Can you confirm this is the case for you?

if the switches were in the wrong position,  disconnect the USB cable from the USB MODEVM, and reconnect it.  If the board is recognized and the firmware loaded, D2 will light.

Also,  when you downloaded the drivers,  how did you install them?  what version of windows are you running?

    best regards,

    -Steve Wilson

  • SW-2

--> All of switches set LO except Switch8, so I set switch 6 to HI.

    --> D2 light correctly.

ㄴ but It doesn't resolved yet.

    I downloaded drivers on www.ti.com/.../TLV320AIC3104EVM-K

    I downloaded upper 2 things.

    My window version is 7.

USB-MODEVM_vista&7.inf file click right of mouse and then install.

GUI installed by Trobleshoot compativility issues, then it installed well.
