TAS2770EVM: PPC3 software download requested
Part Number: TAS2770EVM
I am trying to evaluate the TAS2770 amplifier. I installed the Pure-path console 3 but I think I need some sort of the add in or plug-ins to properly interface with the board. I am using the USB interface.
Right now I see only "I2C Master" in installed EVM Apps. I believe I should have in installed apps the TAS2770EVM? I am hoping someone can help with this.
Welcome to E2E and thank you for your interest in our products!
Could you request access through this link: http://www.ti.com/product/TAS2770? There's an information box after the sections tabs. Please click on "Request TAS2770" option. As you mentioned you should request access to the TAS2770 software.
I hope this helps!
Best regards,Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.

In reply to Luis Fernando Rodriguez S.:
Thank you for your response. I already have the PurePath Console but I will try to request specifically TAS2770EVM software and see what I could get.
Currently with my console, I cannot do anything to control the evaluation board.
In reply to SENAD TURSIC:
Could you provide your email address? I can accelerate your access approval with the audio software team. Otherwise, you would need to wait until our audio software team review your request.
Here is my email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you, Senad,
The audio software team has just granted you access to the TAS2770SW. You should be receiving an email about this in around 30 minutes.
Otherwise, you may download the TAS2770 plug in from this website:
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if you still have issues on this.
Thank you Luis. It's working now.
I am trying to play USB audio but whatever I do it's no audio out to the speaker. Do I need to have the XMOS driver or there is something else?
Could you provide details on your EVM configuration, please? (Jumpers, PurePath Console configuration, etc.).
I have the default jumper configuration. I do not see much in the PurePath Console but on the USB settings I have 44.1/48kHz sample rate, PCM audio with selected SBCLK/FS Auto Detect. I did run the system checks and looks well.
I can see in my windows TI USB audio device and I tried a different bit and sample rate resolution.
You would need to go to the System Checks Tab option in PurePath Console. Please follow the instructions in the System Checks window. Even if there are some hardware checks errors or incomplete checks, you would need to go then to the Device Control Tab. All the TAS2770EVM configuration is made through this option.
Please let me know if this works and if you have additional comments on this.
