TPA6130A2EVM: I2C can't communication

Part Number: TPA6130A2EVM

Hello E2E,

I tried to set up the TPA6130A2-EVM. However, I2C status indicator is red.
PC specs are Windows10, 64bit, core i5 (same symptom in windows7 too).
The driver installation is complete, and “USB-AudioEVM” is displayed in Device Manager.
Please let me know cause and how to improve.

Hi,

I have one question regarding this issue. When you press the read button in the GUI, do you have a I2C status or a registers reading in the GUI main window? Or does it result in an error?

Hello Luis,

Thank you for reply. GUI has not reading register. Connection is normal. I2C Status indicator is red.

Hello, ACGUY,

I meant, could you try pressing the Read button in the GUI? Also, which is the slave address that you are using?

Could you share an EVM picture to verify your jumpers configuration? Could you also share a capture of the GUI that you are using, please?

Hello, ACGUY,

Thank you for the details that you provided. Could you try using the suggested procedure of section 2.1.3 (Computer Connection Issues)? This should be enough to restart the I2C communication between the PC and the EVM.
