TAS2505-Q1: Do not want to put noise as much as possible in AIML and AIR signals

Part Number: TAS2505-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS2505

Hi TI-team

My customer do not want to put noise as much as possible to AINL and AINR signals.
I think that it is set by the "Page 1/Register 46" and "Page 1/Register 48" of TAS2505 Application Reference Guide (slau472.pdf) ,how policy should I set ?
The main is register 48, and the fine adjustment is register 46 ?

Koji Hayashi
  • Hi, Hayashi-san,

There are many ways to configure the volume from the AINL/AINR to Speaker driver path.

As you mentioned, page 1 registers 46 and 48 are used to configure the speaker volume (register 48 as main volume and 46 as fine adjustment as you correctly mentioned).

However, you can also use page 1 / register 24 and page 1 / register 25 to modify the volume of the AINL and AINR lines respectively.

I hope this helps you. Please let us know if you require additional assistance on this.

    Best regards,
    Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.

  • Hi Luis-san

    Thank you for quick response.

I understand that not only registers 46 and 48 but also 24 and 25 can be changed.

    I will contact my customer.

    Best Regards,

    Koji Hayashi
