TLV320AIC3104: I2C and I2S have differernt voltage level

Part Number: TLV320AIC3104

Hi Team,

I saw that 3104 have one IO level. May I ask if my I2C is 3.3V but my I2S is 1.8V, in this situation, I need to add one level shift chip, such as TXS0104?

Thanks!

  • Hello Amelie,

That is correct... You have the correct understanding in that IOVDD for the TLV320AIC3104 sets the digital logic level for the device and will need a level translator. Digital logic level is used for  RESET, DIN, DOUT, I2C, and CLKs.

    Regards,
