LMK04828: LMK04828 CP OUT

Part Number: LMK04828

DEARS.

The LMK04828 has been designed and doing test.

Use TG5032CGN(VC-TCXO) for OSC Input for LMK04828.

http://www.vc-tcxo.com/uploadfiles/files/20180801181359_1597.pdf

The Cp-Out of the LMK04828 is shaken.

If CP-OUT is not used, there is no shaking.

Will there be a problem if I do not use CP-OUT?

Thank you

  • Hi Henry,

Can you help me understand what "shaken" means? Is the CPout voltage unstable? Is the VC-TCXO output frequency unstable? What are the loop filter values used?

If CPout1 is not used, PLL1 will not be able to operate. While PLL1 can be bypassed to allow the LMK04828 to operate with only PLL2, this is probably not what you want to do, since the jitter-cleaning aspect of LMK04828 is only realized by using PLL1 as an input to PLL2.

    Regards,
