LMX2595: Performance at 21GHz

Dear Sirs.

I need to generate 4 fixed frequencies (not at the same time), the highest is 21GHz. There is written in the datasheet ver. "APRIL 2019" (chapter 8.1.5), the max. frequency is 20GHz. Nevertheless the data are measured up to 21GHz on the figures 58...61. My question is if it is allowed to set VCO at 10.5GHz and doubler=on (of course with degraded performance) or is this setting internally forbidden?

    Hello,

    No this setting is not prohibited but we do not guarantee performance specifications beyond datasheet limits. We would expect some performance degradation and any validation would need to be at the system level in your specific application use case.
